-Fit a bombageddon in Jita -Buy a bunch of cheap named stuff, mabye a few T2 things -Have some friendly alts in local -Start advertising that you're leaving EVE forever and are giving away things, get people to gang you and warp onto you, start jetting cans with goodies in them to whet people's appetites -Once sufficient numbers of people are around you, activate fraps, then smartbombs -Kill and pod a lot of people instantaneously, laugh as a ridiculously huge CONCORD fleet shows up to kill you -Laugh some more at all the rage in local -Have friends scoop cans -PROFIT!
I'd do it again in a second.
When I did this the other day so many CONCORD ships spawned that it lagged the entire universe for a few seconds (according to friends in other regions far distant) and a GM showed up to see what the hell happened

I was actually trying to get a lot more people than actually were killed, but someone scanned me and spilled the beans in local so I had to do it early Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content - Cortes |

Originally by: Kaylana Syi TBH, you should be banned for doing something like this. Have a nice day. This type of gameplay imo is pretty much found in EULA rules
Quote: 15 You may not do anything that interferes with the ability of other EVE Online subscribers to enjoy the game or web site in accordance with its rules. This includes, but is not limited to, making inappropriate use of any public channels within the game and/or intentionally creating excessive latency (lag) by dumping cargo containers, corpses or other items in the game world.
Quote: 16 You may not engage in any activity that increases the difficulty and/or expense of CCP in maintaining the EVE Online client, server, web site or other services for the benefit and enjoyment of all its users.
Basically when you bait newbs with smart bombs with promise of free items because YOU ARE LYING ABOUT PERSONALLY LEAVING THE GAME you not only lag starter systems but you are griefing new players and possibly detracting them from extending trial accounts and/or continuing on a normal account. Both of which detract from CCP bringing in new clients to the game which benefit ALL of EVE.
What you suggest is pretty lame and I would ask CCP to ban this type of griefing.
From my corp's high sec stronghold I rant at thee!
Grow a sense of humor, anyone dumb enough to hug a battleship with no visible turrets in high sec that's trying to attract as much attention as possible deserves what they get Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content - Cortes |

The only rule you quoted being broken is creating lag by dumping cargo containers and corpses. Besides, that was just a side effect
10-15 cans and corpses won't lag anyone, it was the giant fleet of CONCORD that created the lag. To be honest, I hadn't expected that many Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content - Cortes |

Originally by: Masta Killa I once scammed a few mil out of an angry noob under the pretense that I needed it to open an escrow where I'd get money to pay him back for the uninsured BC he lost to me.
He ended up steaming angry and broke and I was in tears from all the laughter.
Eve is nice like that \o/
Reading the player guide would have saved him his money and anger. It is very valid to talk someone out of their isk if they have the means to interpret the situation differently.
What the OP suggests is not synonymous with scamming and it has node consequences as well affecting more than one person individually. In essence you might as well rename this post title to How to be the David Koresh of EVE Online.
Yeah, you can stop talking now.
A GM showed up in local a little bit after I did this, and as he didn't do anything, obviously it's fine. Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content - Cortes |

Because every time a carebear dies, another angel looses its wings? Or because its just really lame to do something for the hell of it and try to rationalize it to the communtiy as RP?
Quote: Secondly its up to the GMs to decide what is greifing and what isn't not the forum members. If you feel a GM has made a mistake then the normal route is to enter a petition.
Already did, but I as long as anyone keeps rabbling to my post the rabble will come back as long as I am at my PC.

It's human psychology... not an exploit. It's called being smart and taking advantage of every eve player's weakness- immense greed.
What you are saying is pretty pointless... and GOD I hate the use of the word "griefing".
The OP should not be banned. It is in the game mechanics. They took a risk warping to him. The OP suffered the consequences by losing his raven. End. Of. Story.

But if they were opening your cans, and if they were in your gang, why did concord come when you shot them?
Not all of them had opened cans. Click here for something interesting concerning D2 and Sparta! |

Or can't afford a bounty :).
That is very interersting, so more concord come if you actually kill someone.
Yeah, I figured I'd get 10-15 at most. Wasn't expecting every CONCORD unit in the sector, that's for sure. Click here for something interesting concerning D2 and Sparta! |
